By George, there's a bright future

The Royals had a dream run to their first World Series title in 30 years, but Kansas City baseball icon George Brett believes the Fall Classic champions will only get better.

Hall of Famer Brett, star of the Royals team that won the World Series in 1985, said the new champions are just beginning to realize their potential.

"Several of the guys had big offensive years - but they can do better," Brett said while leaning against the dugout railing before Sunday's Series-clinching Game 5 win over the New York Mets at Citi Field.
