UN official says working groups to be launched soon

The visiting UN special envoy to Syria said on Monday that working groups he proposed to discuss solutions to the deadlocked Syrian crisis are going to be launched soon.

However, Staffan de Mistura didn't elaborate on when these discussions will take place.

The Vienna talks, which ended last week, aimed to finding "common ground" for solution of the crisis, but the participants remained divided over the role of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the future of the country.
