Google 'in constant talks with Beijing'

By Liu Zheng | China Daily | Updated: 2015-11-03 08:48

Online rumors and predictions about the United States tech giant Google Inc's possibilities of restarting its services in the Chinese mainland have gone viral although the company has not made any definitive comment yet.

"Google is in constant dialogue with Beijing as it seeks to better serve the country," said Eric Schmidt, executive chairman of Alphabet Inc, the parent company of Google, at the two-day TechCrunch Beijing summit, which ends on Tuesday.

One of the main reasons behind his China visit is to strengthen the links between the company and the country, according to Schmidt.
