Change of perspective

In August, 95 university students from Taiwan visited Shanghai to undertake 28-day internships at a number of well-know local companies, according to a report in People's Daily.

Most of the students, 79, came from Taiwan's central and southern regions and were on their first visit to the Chinese mainland.

They admitted that they had long held negative views about the mainland as a result of information broadcast in Taiwan, and that had led to misunderstandings and bias.
