Defense minister to attend ASEAN meeting

Chang Wanquan, state councilor and minister of national defense, is set to attend the third ASEAN Defence Ministers Meeting Plus in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as part of his official visits to Malaysia and Cambodia from today till Nov 8. At the ASEAN meeting, Chang will table China's proposals on enhancing defense exchanges and cooperation with countries in the region, as well as the country's position on regional and international security issues, according to the Ministry of Defense. The four-day meeting, which ends on Thursday, will host defense ministers from ASEAN countries and their regional dialogue partners.
