Lincoln introduces SUV for the high-tech savvy
Lincoln China launched its large and high-tech SUV model, the MKX, in the Chinese market at an Oct 20 ceremony in Beijing.
The SUV is 4,844 mm long and 1,936 mm wide, with a 2,849 mm wheelbase and minimum ground clearance of 159 mm. It has a superior luggage trunk that can hold 739 liters and can be further expanded to 1,473 liters when the back seats are laid down.
The new model has two powertrain options - a 2-liter turbocharged or 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged powertrain - with a six-speed automatic transmission or a Select Shift switch. The 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 has a maximum output of 250 kW and peak torque of 542 Nm, and consumes 10.5 to 12.8 liters of fuel every 100 kilometers.

Chery Jaguar Land Rover unveils domestically manufactured SUV
Chery Jaguar Land Rover unveiled its domestically produced Discovery Sport on Thursday.
The sport utility vehicle boasts a two-liter turbocharged engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission, generating a maximum output of 177 kW and top torque of 340 Nm.
It measures 4,600 mm in length, 1,894 mm wide and 1,700 mm in height and has a 2,741-mm wheelbase. The model, with four variations, is priced between 368,000 yuan ($58,200) and 518,000 yuan.
It will be available nationwide in late November. It is the second model the joint venture has rolled out, the first being the Land Rover Evoque.

Guangqi Toyota debuts hybrid Levin
Guangqi Toyota unveiled the hybrid version of its popular model Levin on Thursday.
The car sports a 1.8-liter engine and an electric motor that cuts fuel consumption to 4.2 liters per 100 km, about 30 percent less than gas-powered ones in the same segment.
The model has four variations, with prices ranging from 139,800 yuan ($22,100) to 159,800 yuan, the same as its gasoline-powered version.
The hybrid will hit the market in December.
