Zhang Yujun removed during Party probe

Zhang Yujun was removed from his post as assistant chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission on Oct 13, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. Zhang, who has PhDs in economics and law, is being investigated for "serious violation of laws and disciplines" by the country's top anti-corruption watchdog, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China. Zhang is by far the highest-ranking securities official to be investigated by the anti-corruption body.
