Ruling party plans congress
The ruling party of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea said on Friday that it will hold its first congress since 1980 in May. The Workers' Party of Korea said in a dispatch carried by state media that it has decided to hold its seventh congress as the nation is faced with "the heavy yet sacred task" of building a "thriving" nation.
