Mysterious ice block drops from the sky

A 5-kilogram block of ice recently dropped from the sky and punched a hole in the ground on a farm in Songxian county, Henan province. Weather experts said the ice was not a hailstone, and aviation experts said it likely was not from a plane. The ice, which fell around noon, was 1 meter long. It broke into pieces upon impact, the largest weighing about 2.5 kg. Villagers said the weather was fine at the time.
