Sino-Thai railway cooperation meeting
The eighth meeting of the China-Thailand joint committee on railway cooperation is scheduled to be held today and tomorrow in Beijing. The two sides are expected to reach a consensus on an intergovernmental railway cooperation framework, Xinhua News Agency reported. The Chinese and Thai governments recently agreed to start building a 840 km-long railway connecting Yunnan's provincial capital Kunming with Bangkok and the Thai provinces of Nong Khai and Rayong by the end of the year.
