Severe pollution forecast for region
Large areas in northern China, including Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei province, will face severe air pollution from Friday to Sunday, the Ministry of Environmental Protection said on Tuesday. From Wednesday, the air quality will deteriorate in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The major pollutants will be PM2.5, it said.
