New service offers data and insight into startups
InnoTREE Network Tech Co, an Internet-based equity financing and investment service provider, launched its data-based services at the National Stadium in Beijing on Friday.
It is one of the many events at the Zhongguancun Innovation and Entrepreneurship Festival 2015.
The services will supply accurate information to startup companies and investors and help them make better decisions, according to Ma Chao, CTO of InnoTREE.
Such services are called "Ou plus", which consist of four categories.
The "Ou plus telescope" is one of them. It reveals how much funding each startup has received from investment organizations and how many times such organizations have invested in the specific industry.
According to Ma, these figures are closely related to the potential of a startup project and the Ou plus telescope aims to guide "smart" money to invest in "smart" projects.
The Ou plus telescope provides users with information in about a dozen sectors, such as Internet finance, e-commerce and entertainment.
Ou means infinity in Chinese, said Deng Yonggong, media director at the company.
He said Ou plus suggests that the InnoTREE services can "offer startup s and investors with infinite possibilities".
Nearly 100 organizations, including the Beijing Equity Trading Center, have tried the Ou plus services, according to Deng.
Ma said the services would meet the needs of both startups and investment organizations.
He said the Ou plus services can help investors better and more effectively pick out reliable startup projects and know how invested projects run.
Ma said the services combine "the fields of finance and the Internet", an advantage when compared with similar services in the market.
The finance team at InnoTREE will first work out some models and the Internet team will supply information sources to the models using technologies like data search, according to Teng Fang, CEO of InnoTREE.
He said the company will also make the models more reliable based on information from users, including feedback and suggestions from experts.
InnoTREE was set up in December 2014 and moved to Zhongguancun Inno Way, home to many startups, in March.
To date, the company has helped six startups to receive financing of nearly 100 million yuan ($15.74 million).
