Old mobile players fail to dial right numbers

The traditional big four mobile phone manufacturers are struggling to come up with the right domestic numbers.

Known as the "Zhonghuakulian Alliance", ZTE Corporation, Huawei Technologies Co Ltd, Yulong Computer Communication Technology Co Ltd, which makes the Coolpad brand, and Lenovo Group Ltd have seen their sales in China stall or increase at a slower rate.

"The time when they dominated the market here has long gone," Wang Yanhui, secretary-general of Mobile China Alliance, which is made up of more than 30 mobile phone players, said.
