After a number of setbacks, young Chinese skater ready to take on world

Yan Han believes a freak accident this season, coupled with other injuries and a number of ups and downs, have helped the teen skater mature.

"I am looking at competition with a more normal attitude, and it feels so good," said Yan in Beijing after a practice session in preparation for Skate America, the first of six events in the 2015-16 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, which starts next Friday. However, the 2012 world junior champion will face greater challenges at the Audi Cup of China, from Nov 6-8 in Beijing.
