President of Belarus to seek fifth term

Belarusian presidential elections are scheduled for Sunday. President Alexander Lukashenko has been in office for more than two decades. The election commission registered leaders of two pro-government parties and an obscure opposition activist to compete with Lukashenko, who will run for a fifth straight time.
