Indonesia asked to provide names of area polluters

By Xinhua in Singapore | China Daily | Updated: 2015-10-08 07:48

Singapore's Foreign Ministry has sent a formal request to Indonesia for the names of companies suspected of contributing to haze pollution, the ministry said on Wednesday.

"We look forward to an early response from the government of the Republic of Indonesia on our requests so that we can take the necessary action against those who are responsible for the haze," the ministry said, adding that Singapore has reiterated its offer of assistance to help Indonesia battle the problem.

The offer includes one C-130 aircraft for cloud-seeding operations, up to two C-130 aircraft to ferry a firefighting assistance team, high resolution satellite pictures and one Chinook helicopter with a heli-bucket.
