Party leader will visit DPRK with delegation

Liu Yunshan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China's Central Committee, will head a delegation to visit the Democratic People's Republic of Korea beginning Oct 9. The International Department of the CPC Central Committee announced on Sunday that the delegation led by Liu, also a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, was invited by the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. The delegation will attend activities marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the WPK as well as pay a friendly visit to the DPRK, the department said.
