President to visit UK in October

President Xi Jinping will make a state visit to the United Kingdom from Oct 20 to 23, the website of the British monarchy announced. Xi, to be accompanied by first lady Peng Liyuan, "will stay at Buckingham Palace", said a statement issued by the communications secretary to Queen Elizabeth II. Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said on Tuesday that the visit is expected to further boost the relationship and increase interaction and cooperation in various fields.
