4 Chinese hajj pilgrims killed

The deaths of four Chinese have been confirmed in the stampede of Muslim pilgrims that occurred on Thursday in the Mina Valley, about 5 kilometers from Mecca, Saudi Arabia, the Foreign Ministry said on Monday. Nearly 770 pilgrims were killed in the stampede. Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei confirmed the deaths during a regular news briefing and said the 14,500 pilgrims of the China Hajj Working Delegation have finished their pilgrimage and will return to China soon.
