Urumqi to mark anniversary
A ceremony is scheduled for Oct 1 in Urumqi, capital of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the autonomous region. China's top political adviser, Yu Zhengsheng, will lead a central government delegation to attend the ceremony and other festivities.
