Platform to regulate insurance agencies

The China Insurance Regulatory Commission will launch an electronic platform using technology of big data and cloud computing to efficiently monitor and regulate the country's insurance intermediary agencies, the regulator said on Wednesday. The system, to be completed in three years, is aimed at helping the regulator in its crackdown on illegal activities such as mis-selling and illegal financing by insurance agencies that have mushroomed in China in recent years.
