Religious affairs official probed

Zhang Lebin, deputy director-general of the State Administration for Religious Affairs, is being investigated for suspected "serious disciplinary violations", the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection announced on its website on Tuesday. Zhang, 57, was appointed as secretary of the discipline inspection commission of the administration in 2003 before being promoted to deputy director-general in 2010.
