Murray serving refugee aid

By Agence France-Presse in London | China Daily | Updated: 2015-09-19 08:04

Andy Murray has responded to the Syrian refugee crisis by revealing he will donate 50 pounds ($78) to children's charity Unicef every time he hits an ace for the rest of the year.

The former Wimbledon and US Open champion made his charitable gesture after being moved by the plight of people traveling to Europe to claim asylum.

"Having seen the images broadcast on the news in recent weeks I felt I had to do something to help the millions of children and their families who have been forced to flee their homes and had their lives turned upside down," Murray wrote on his official website.
