Ex-Sinopec exec expelled from Party
Wang Tianpu, former general manager of oil giant China Petroleum and Chemical Corp, has been expelled from the Communist Party of China for alleged corruption and other violations of Party discipline. The CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection investigated Wang in April and found he abused his power to seek promotion, it said in a statement on Friday.
