Italian champion Juventus cast its early-season woes aside by beating Manchester City 2-1 in its opening Champions League Group D fixture at Etihad Stadium on Tuesday.
Last season's beaten finalist, Juve has lost two and drawn one of its first three Serie A games and went behind in the 57th minute when Vincent Kompany pressured Giorgio Chiellini into scoring an own goal.
The Juventus centerback protested with justification that he had been fouled, but his side drew level 13 minutes later through Mario Mand-zukic before Alvaro Morata curled home the winner in the 81st minute.
