China-Malaysia joint drill in Malacca Strait
China and Malaysia are scheduled to hold a joint drill from tomorrow till Sept 22 in the Strait of Malacca and its surrounding area, according to the Ministry of National Defense. Codenamed "Peace and Friendship 2015", the drill will include joint escort, search and rescue, retrieval of hijacked vessels, humanitarian aid and disaster relief, as part of efforts to cement the China-Malaysia all-around strategic partnership.
