Roger not over and out after another disappointing loss

By Reuters in New York | China Daily | Updated: 2015-09-16 07:53

Unlike the women's US Open final, there was no center court retirement announcement after the men's final on Sunday.

Roger Federer put aside the disappointment of losing to Novak Djokovic in the men's final to tell fans he will be back.

After winning the women's crown on Saturday, 33-year-old Flavia Pennetta said she would not be back in Flushing Meadows, so the crowd might have been concerned that 34-year-old Federer was harboring similar thoughts.
