Curfew lifted in restive city
Turkish authorities lifted a curfew on Monday in the mainly Kurdish southeastern city of Cizre after reimposing it for 12 hours following a deadly nine-day military lockdown, the regional governor's office said. The curfew, enforced as the army fights Kurdish militants, was put in place on the evening of Sept 4 and then lifted on Friday amid concerns of a humanitarian crisis.
