Culture: Antique vat 'marred' by couple

On chinadaily.com.cn

On Sept 11, a micro-blogger highlighted a case of a couple who allegedly carved their names on a 300-year-old vat in Beijing's Palace Museum, also known as the Forbidden City. The blogger called for the police to take action and the case has fueled heated discussion among netizens, with most of them denouncing the "uncivilized" behavior. During a media interview, museum authorities said such incidents have occurred before and an official report about the latest case will be filed with the police.
