Father, daughter are walking 5,000 km

A father and daughter in Jilin, Northeast China, are walking to Sanya, in South China's Hainan province. Wei Jiaqi, 64, a retired teacher, and his daughter, Wei Yi, started their journey on Sept 1 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression(1937-45). They planned to spend about 200 days covering the 5,000-kilometer distance. The father said he undertook the journey for sightseeing and exercise. The daughter said she's walking to look after her father.
