The world is aging fast. By 2030, there will be more people over 60 than under 10. Already, there are more over-60s than children under 5. HelpAge International on Wednesday released the Global AgeWatch Index, compiled from international data, to warn nations that they must act quickly to address the issue. Here are the top four Asian countries on the index:
1 Japan

Japan ranks eighth overall, the highest in the region. It has the highest proportion of over-60s in the world, with 32.8 percent. Its best ranking is for health, its lowest for income.
