League appeals after four-game 'Deflategate' ban is overturned
Tom Brady learned on Thursday he will start the season on the field after a judge overturned the National Football League's four-game suspension of the New England Patriots' star quarterback, who was embroiled in a scandal over deflated footballs.
Judge Richard M. Berman criticized NFL commissioner Roger Goodell "for dispensing his own brand of industrial justice" and cited multiple reasons to reject the suspension one week before New England's Sept 10 opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
