Govt to develop telecom industry

The State Council released a plan on Friday to promote a nationwide project to deliver telecom, radio and television, and Internet services over a single broadband connection. The "three-network convergence" project is aimed at connecting IT infrastructure and facilitating information sharing, according to the plan. "The project can help upgrade the consumption mode, overhaul the industrial structure and improve people's livelihood," the document said.
