Germany gunning for Frankfurt reboot

World champion Germ-any hosts Poland in Friday's key Euro 2016 qualifier with the host out to put last year's historic defeat behind it and move atop Group D.

The Germans have a score to settle in Frankfurt in the first of their two qualifiers before playing Scotland in Glasgow on Monday.

Joachim Loew's side finds itself in the unusual position of being second in the standings, a point behind Poland, which won 2-0 in Warsaw last October. Scotland is third.
