Flurry of deals made at Euro deadline
A roundup of some of the transfers to go through on Monday in Europe:
French Ligue 1 club Rennes signed teenage French forward Jeremie Boga (1), 18, on a season-long loan from English champion Chelsea and agreed to a similar deal for Colombian international playmaker Juan Fernando Quintero. The 22-year-old arrives from FC Porto of Portugal and Rennes has an option to make the move permanent for 20 million euros ($22.4 million) next summer. Rennes is also still hoping to bring France international playmaker Yoann Gourcuff, a free agent after leaving Lyon, back to the club for a second spell.
Cristian Zaccardo, who was on the Italy squad which triumphed at the 2006 World Cup, has left AC Milan to join newly promoted Serie A side Carpi. The 33-year-old, capped 17 times, agreed a two-year deal.
