PERU IS STRATEGICALLY LOCATED ON THE WEST COAST OF SOUTH AMERICA, making the country the regional "hub" for the South American Pacific Basin and a natural partner for Asian countries, especially China. In recent years Peru has enjoyed a sustained period of economic growth that has boosted the confidence of both domestic and international investors. Peruvian foreign trade liberalization has led to the signing of 18 commercial agreements with the world's main economies, a third of them in the Asian region. Peru is also fast becoming recognized as a food source around the world, a global player with large and medium enterprises that supply fresh, processed, dried and frozen produce to literally feed the world.
