The five gold medals won by China at a global skills competition will help to boost vocational education in the country, according to experts and government officials.
The Chinese delegation won golds in manufacturing, welding, hairdressing, car painting and milling at the 43rd World Skills Competition in Sao Paulo, Brazil, from Aug 11 to 16.
It was the first time the country had won a gold medal at the event after taking part in the two previous competitions in 2011 and 2013.
