Executives probed by prosecutors

Two senior executives of People.com.cn, the news portal of People's Daily, were taken away recently for investigation by prosecutors, Caixin.com reported on Thursday. Liao Hong, 52, vice-chairman and president of the news portal, and Chen Zhixia, the portal's vice-president, have worked in their current positions since June 2010. In May, Xu Hui, former deputy editor-in-chief of the portal, was taken away for investigation over accepting bribes for covering up some scandals.
