Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev will pay a four-day state visit from next Monday to Beijing and sign documents with President Xi Jinping to further integrate the nation's development plan with the Belt and Road Initiative.

On his first trip to China since he was reelected on April 26, Nazarbayev will seek to highlight cooperation with Xi on regional and border cooperation, energy, industrialization and investment, said Shakhrat Nuryshev, Kazakhstan's new ambassador to China, in an exclusive interview with China Daily.

The two heads of state are expected to sign a wide range of agreements, including a joint statement acknowledging a new phase in the nations' strategic partnership, capacity and investment collaboration, Nuryshev revealed.
