Nutritious Meal program is playing a major role in rural area schools

Zhao Sijun, eight years old, comes from a poor background and is a second-grade student at the Songziyuan Primary School in Shilin county of Yunnan province in Southwest China.

After his first class in the afternoon, Zhao and his fellow students receive a carton of milk and one egg each as part of the school's Nutritious Meal program. He is 1.3 meters tall and weighs 23 kilograms.
