Museum's bad attitude caught clearly in wax

China Daily | Updated: 2015-08-20 07:43

A LOCAL MUSEUM in Huayingshan, Sichuan Province in Southwest China, contains wax figures that are hardly recognizable as the celebrities they are supposed to correspond to. This has outraged the celebrities concerned. Netizens are now calling it "the ugly wax museum". Comments:

Even though the museum claims to exhibit the wax figures of celebrities to attract young visitors on "red tours", it is improper and illegal if it is unauthorized. Moreover, it is also unscrupulous for the museum authority to admit the making of the wax figures was "a little casual" on the one hand, yet, on the other, attempt to rake in ticket money from visitors despite such substandard products. These celebrity wax figures seem rather nondescript together with the usual revolutionary martyrs on display, and the arrangement should shame the museum authority.
