Chinese Valentine's Day is on July 7 on the Chinese calendar, varying every year in relation to the Gregorian calendar. This year, it falls next Thursday. In a legendary story, Niu Lang and Zhi Nu are separated all the year except this night. The legend also says all the magpies gather to form a bridge in heaven with their wings so that the separated lovers could meet once a year.
