Halt sought to Angkor replica

Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Hor Namhong asked the Indian government on Tuesday to tell Mahavir Mandir - an Indian trust - to abandon its plan to build a near-replica of Cambodia's Angkor Wat Temple. He made the request during a meeting with outgoing Indian Ambassador Dinesh K. Patnaik, Cambodian Foreign Ministry spokesman Chum Sounry said.
