By Jiang Xueqing | China Daily | Updated: 2015-08-11 07:57

New optical features will be among the changes to the 100 yuan bill, which will improve protection against counterfeiting and help financial institutions handle bank notes.

The People's Bank of China announced on Monday that it will begin issuing the new bills on Nov 12.

Advanced anti-counterfeiting technologies will make it easier for the public to discern a false bank note, the central bank said on its website.
