CPC removes vice-governor

Gu Chunli, vice-governor of northeast China's Jilin province, has been removed from office following a graft investigation, authorities announced on Friday. The Communist Party of China Central Committee has decided to remove Gu from his post for suspected "severe disciplinary and law violation", said a statement released by the committee's Organization Department. Gu is being investigated, the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection announced last Saturday.
