Peaty completes his golden hat-trick

Britain's Adam Peaty completed the double of world breaststroke titles on Wednesday after adding the 50m title to his 100m crown - then claimed a third gold in the mixed medley.

The 20-year-old, who set the 50m world record of 26.42 sec in Tuesday's semifinals, clocked 26.51 in the final with South Africa's Cameron van der Burgh, the 2013 world champion, taking silver, 0.15 sec back.

Kevin Cordes of the US earned bronze at 0.35 sec.
