Diner refuses to pay for fish-flavored dish

A tourist refused to pay after dining at a restaurant in Jiulongpo district, saying the fish-flavored shredded pork dish had no fish at all, which went viral online and triggered widespread amusement. The dish originates in Sichuan and smells like cooked fish, but does not contain real fish. The diner, surnamed Liu, accused the restaurant owner of not making the dish in an authentic way. The owner surnamed Zhao said he had always made the dish this way. The woman finally agreed to pay after police mediation. The diner was mocked by netizens for expecting there to be fish in the dish because of the dish's name.
