Rolls-Royce wows Beijing auto enthusiasts
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars thrilled fans of the brand and auto enthusiasts alike in its first-ever racing exhibition in China at the Beijing Goldenport Park Circuit.
The test-drive event provided a unique and interactive experience that showcased the speed and high performance capabilities of the luxury auto brand.
The racetrack event featured the company's newest Wraith and Ghost models in what Rolls-Royce called the "magic carpet" experience. Since its world debut two years ago, the Wraith has proven its power, style and dramatic handling, delivering 624 bhp with 800 Nm of torque. It reaches from zero mph to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds.

Chery JLR set to launch second model
Chery Jaguar LandRover Automotive, the British automaker Jaguar Land Rover's local joint venture, announced last week that its second model, the New Discovery Sport, would launch in China in the last quarter of 2015.
The compact SUV is the second model produced by the joint venture. The first model, the Evoque, hit the Chinese market earlier this year.
The company's president Chen Anning said that the local production of the second model shows that the company is confident in the Chinese market.
Mercedes-Benz recalls 150 cars
The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine announced last week that Mercedes-Benz (China) and its local joint venture Beijing Benz Automotive recalled some of their cars in the Chinese market.
Mercedes-Benz (China) recalled 150 of its imported passenger cars, including the GLA, A and B Series produced in September 2014. The automaker said the vehicles have a fuse problem. Beijing Benz' recall is an extension of its earlier move to recall its locally made E Series. The company recalled 14,208 of its 2015 editions of the E Series produced between Jan 8 and April 30, 2015.
