Shaolin Temple denies probe

The general manager of Shaolin Intangible Assets Management is denying media reports that the Shaolin Temple's abbot is under investigation. Qian Daliang released a statement online saying that the Beijing News report was false. Abbott Shi Yongxin would be absent from a Shaolin kung fu show in Bangkok, Thailand, on Tuesday, and Beijing News quoted Qian as saying Shi would miss the event because he is being investigated by the Dengfeng Bureau for Religious Affairs.
