Yunnan's ex-deputy Party chief probed

Qiu He, former deputy Party chief of Yunnan province, has been placed under investigation for alleged graft, according to the Supreme People's Procuratorate on Friday.

Qiu was detained on suspicion of accepting bribes, with the criminal case under further investigation, according to a statement released by the SPP.

Qiu, 58, was serving as Party chief in Kunming and deputy head of the committee between 2007 and March this year.
